Pavonine (pronounced “PA-vo-neen”) Yoga is a dual hot and cool yoga studio located in downtown Highland Falls, New York, just steps away from the gates of the U.S. Military Academy (West Point, NY). Our heated and unheated yoga studios allow us to conduct multiple classes at once, giving us the ability to have adult classes and kids classes run simultaneously.
Our heated yoga studio is one of the few available in Orange County, NY, and the only one serving the West Point, Highland Falls, and Ft. Montgomery communities. We’re also a short drive from Cornwall and Cornwall-on-Hudson (12 minutes); Vails Gate, New Windsor, Garrison, and Tompkins Cove (15-17 minutes); and Newburgh, Peekskill, Harriman, and Stony Point (20 mins).
Our clientele is composed of an incredible cross-section of people: on any given day, you might find in our studio an elite Green Beret stationed at the U.S. Military Academy; a life-long resident of the beautiful Hudson Valley; a world-renowned professor from West Point; a visiting dignitary from another country; or a little yogi just learning the art of movement.
In addition to our regular classes, we strive to create community by hosting seasonal events and offering donation-based classes.
“Pavonine” is a Latin word meaning “peacock-like,” and the peacock’s essence embodies what our studio offers. Whether you’re a cautious yogini focusing on her mediation practice with feathers down, or a seasoned veteran who’s flaunting her plumage with a one-armed handstand (which is crazy, by the way!), hopefully you can relate to the peacock regardless of your experience, mood, or focus in this practice.
