Tara Gilman has been practicing yoga for as long as she can remember, having grown up as a competitive gymnast with the knowledge of how important it was to remain physically strong. In 2012, she realized it was time to abandon an an unhealthy way of being, and so began fully immersing herself in her yoga journey to rediscover her true self.
She received her 200-hour certification under the guidance of Sondra Loring and Raghunath Cappo in 2015. She continues to be empowered in her journey through the Baptiste Institute, having also received her Tier 1 300-hour certification. She believes the benefits of yoga — through asana, meditation, and self inquiry — can improve physical and spiritual health, leading to peaceful, loving, and positive changes in this world, one person at a time.
